There are a lot of names of auditing companies on the web. There are two types of auditors.
One is a “real” business and has the experience needed to return savings to you without hurting your relationship with the shipping carriers. These are companies that are formed by people that have the transportation and logistics industry behind them for experience. There process involves just that, people within an office or several office locations and work to insure your shipping costs are reduced with the right tools.
The second shipping auditor type is a company or individual that starts up the business with little or no experience. Some of these shipping auditor types use people around the US in “work at home” based jobs to audit company’s shipments and speak with the shipping carrier directly on your behalf. This can cause huge problems with your account as shipping carriers note information within their system on your account. Inexperienced people auditing your account can cause incorrect audit adjustments to be denied by the carrier. Flagging your account as a problem account and actually reducing your customer service with the carrier. These types of “work at home” staff are not a secure solution to handle any businesses customer base (which in a sense is what your shipping information is).
Please take a moment and speak with our staff about our network, where our offices are located and also more about the other types of auditors. We do keep information on file in regards to most of the auditing companies out there with proof of where they come from and how their auditing process works.
Now with that said there are great auditors out there that perform the job completely, secure and produce results. Ship Watchers is one of those shipping auditors.
