“Our carrier takes care of us with any adjustments and bills us correctly. We do not need a shipping auditor.”

This is a very bad misconception with some companies.  There is not the case nor could it be the case.  Shipping companies are large and have many people and systems in place to charge your shipment once it leaves your door.  Your Account Executive with the shipping carrier has no power to stop adjustments to each and every shipment you send.  The carrier does not monitor your shipments and credit you back for mis-applied adjustments.  There are in fact many areas that the shipping carrier can charge your shipment extra.  From the driver picking up your shipments, to the online solution processing your shipments, to the seasonal staff within the hub, automated scanning systems and of course that driver delivering your shipment.

You must and should be wise in this time of insuring that proper billing is taking place and that you are not bleeding out profits.
